Laying a strong post & beam deck foundation. Posts are anchored to concrete pillars. The homeowner had us to remove the previous deck, which was only about five years old, because it was sinking and pulling away from the house. The previous posts were not positioned in the proper places under the beams, and they were merely standing on the dirt.

Batter boards, chaulk line and a plumb bob is used to keep things plumb and square.

An aerial lift utility truck comes in handy. It stores tools out of the weather. It can stick a man safely up in the air where he needs to be. It can generate 120 volts, or 240 volts for locations that have no power. Runs a compressor for air tools. We even us it to power up a welder when working on metal hand railings, etc.
